We love all our dogs at Picasso Australian Shepherds, but this girl is one of the most beautiful types of this breed we have ever seen. They have a wonderfully cheeky disposition that compliments their cute demeanor perfectly. She is goofy but takes training seriously. She is a quick learner and a incredible mother. We are lucky to have everything in one beautiful girl. Her temperament is outstanding and she has training in many performance disciplines.

Her short back, wide rear and gorgeous coat are all beautiful but the incredible personality is what will win you over. This little girl has trained so quickly she is generations of loving caring companions and a pedigree full of winning working dogs. We look forward to see how this girl will excel in the future.

Guiding Philosophy
How We Do Things
At Picasso Australian Shepherds, we are rigorous in screening and selecting the right home for each animal. If we do not think your home is the best place for them, we will redirect you to a different Dog Breeder who might be a better fit. To reserve an animal, please get in touch.
We are taking deposits on 4 pups only the rest will be available after they are born, the people that reserve a puppy will be able to choose in the same order the deposits were given. From 1st to 4th. We are expecting a Xmas litter, from our Service dog and a imported show dog from the Czech Republic. We are expecting all colors.
We also are looking for two guardian homes, if you have any interest in a guardian home please contact us for more info and photos. A guardian home price differs in each case, 500-1500
Available to the right home our service dog will be available to someone both willing to take a guardian dog but also needed a service animal. She should go into a home where her amazing talents can be used. She is a two year old titled and reg service dog. She is a blue eyed, blue merle. Ask about her and her conditions.
All our dogs are temperament approved and health checked (DNA & x-rayed @ 24m) for all problems that afflict this breed. Our dogs are titled in many disciplines, we do both showing confirmation and performance, including obedience, rally, trick dog, agility, dock diving, scent work, CGC, TT. And more...
We also have a program that if you title a dog from us we give a cash bonus which varies depending on the title and your agreement. Between 50-150 per title.
Our Australian shepherds are from both working and show bloodlines. The sire of this litter is a gorgeous Czech Republic import from the top lines in Europe with over four generations of multiple champions and all dogs health checked clear of hereditary problems.
PICASSO'S AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERDS are medium size dog that fellows the CKC standard for Australian shepherds which also considered as a medium size breed. Averaging 19 to 21" and 30 to 45lbs and 10+ lbs for males.

Puppies are sold as companion dogs, purchaser receives registration papers after proof of spay/neuter from your vet
Each purchaser will receive copies of all information and documents and photos that pertain to your pup via zip file.
Lastly we provide two hours of private lessons (optional) to help prepare you for your new addition and what that will entail. We work on new puppy basics and any questions or help the new owners need. (One when we do the meet and greet, the second when you pick up your new baby)

We are proud of our dogs. We breed for healthy dogs with even temperament and dogs that have strong desire to work for you. We have confirmation show champions but we also have service animals and working dogs.
We breed for low to medium drive and our dogs are excellent performance dogs. Each year we improve our Picasso Australian Shepherds by carefully selecting the best pups for our future breeding/show program by only using the best sires, we import semen from the top kennels around the world, from the best dogs all with great temperaments, health and quality. Insuring we produce the best possible pups we can.

GUARDIAN ANGELS

A guardian home is a local family who is a forever home for one of the dogs in our breeding program. Guardian homes allow our breeding dogs to live with families and not in kennels as our program grows. We are always looking for great guardian homes, so if you are interested, please contact us!
Our breeding program is designed around our ability to utilize guardian homes for our breeding dogs either from a puppy or as a young adult after training and health checks. This program is designed this way to benefit everyone, especially and most importantly the dogs, who are raised in a home with a family instead of a kennel. Guardian homes are meant to be permanent so that the dog does not need to go through re-homing.
Picasso Aussies retains ownership and breeding rights while the dog lives with a family. We want all of our dogs to be in a loving home and it allows us to be kennel free. It is a win, win for everyone, most importantly the dog.
Most of the dogs in our guardian homes will be females but we may have a male from time to time. Females will have up to 4 litters(most are required to have 2 litters from two separate males) and males can be in our program for up to 6 years (at the sole discretion of Picasso Aussies).
When the guardian dog is of age, we will get all of his/her health clearances done and then if all goes well, we will breed them to a mate of our choosing.
If you are the Guardian Family for a female, you will bring your Picasso Aussie to our home to be bred and then she will return home to your family for the duration of her pregnancy. One week before she is due, she will return to Picasso Aussie's home to get ready for the birth of her puppies. She will stay in our home until her puppies are weaned and placed in their new homes! Then the guardian dog will return back to you, her Guardian Family. This is one example of our program each contract is built for each home and many things can be adjusted to suit your home.
If you choose that you do not want to have your dog leave for weeks, Guardian Families have the option of making other arrangements with us as long as you have gone through proper training. If this is something you are interested in, please let us know and we can discuss further details. You will have to be willing to be trained on raising a litter and we can work together. We choose our homes very carefully, with priority to homes on an acreage/farm home so future will be socialized to other animals and get early herding exposure.
If you are the Guardian Family for a male, he will just need to come over the week he will be bred and then he can return home!
Guardian families are responsible for normal dog care including but not limited to training, socialization, vet expenses (non-breeding related), food, grooming and lots of love and affection. Picasso Aussies pays for all breeding related expenses all shots and deworming. As an added benefit for the guardian family, depending on our schedule we may provide care for your dog while on vacation.
We will ask you to visit our home periodically to ensure the dog is comfortable when he/she comes for breeding and whelping. You will be responsible for sending pictures and updates.
Requirements/Responsibilities
Location, location, location - within 2 hours of Picasso Aussies. (250 km)
Willing to work with families a bit outside of this range if you are the perfect home
You feed the food the pup was raised on.
Keep female dogs away from intact male dogs
Not allow intact males to breed intact females
Training - Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test paid for by Picasso. All training is provided by Picasso Aussies and can be accessed if you so choose.
Notify us immediately when the dog is in season
Visit our home periodically to ensure the dog is comfortable when they come back for breeding / whelping
Bring the dog to Picasso Aussies as needed for health testing, breedings, whelping and photo shoot. With our dogs if you put a title on one of our dogs .. you will be given a incentive of 50-100, as we realize the time and dedication that it takes to do so. Titles would include the following disciplines, agility, obedience, rally, herding, scent work, anything that is a recognized title.
A $500-1000 deposit is needed to become a Guardian Family (depending on the puppy/dog) You will get a portion back at the end of your contract with Picasso (the incentive of $500 along with the dog being spayed or neutered at our cost). We then sign all paperwork over to you as sole owner. There is NOT a pet fee that you will have to pay when your Picasso Aussie is fully released from her/his program. Some breeders will make you pay for your dog after she/he is done with the program. We DO NOT! We believe she has earned her right to be a part of your family for no extra charge.
